In this writing class I have learned so much. I was able to learn how to express my writing in different forms, how to find reliable sources, how to find pathos, egos, logos in writing, and so much more. I also learned a lot through the In the News Presentations that we presented in class. A lot of the topics my classmates chose were extremely reverent to the time we are living in. But as far as what I learned from the information I was taught in the class I was able to become a stronger writer. At the beginning of the semester we were asked to pick any topic we wanted and we were going to have to do research on it and write multiple essays on it. I first started with the topic of recovery and nutrition in athletes. Once I wrote my rhetorical analysis and my synthesis essay on that topic I learned so much just from those two essays. I was able to learn what it took to write a rhetorical analysis and synthesis essay because I had never written one before. But I was also able to learn that nutrition does play a significant role the performance and recovery of athletes. For my research essay my topic was why athletes should not be vegans. This topic was so interesting. I learned so much on why athletes need animal protein in order to perform at their best. But I was also able to learn that there are many vegan athletes out there that are doing just fine if not better. So in my own time I have developed a desire to learn more about this as I am an athlete myself and I want to be the healthiest I can be! With that being said, the information I learned through the many scholarly sources, videos, and social media posts that I included in my research, I was able to apply the knowledge I learned to myself on my journey to becoming a better athlete and eating healthier!
